HOW TO PARTICIPATE

You may bring a small item (photo or something else) that represents your connection to an ancestor and to place it on our shared space during the opening ceremony.
You are invited to wear items of importance or which remind you of your ancestor(s) (optional).

Hello,

My name is Christine Williams, and I am an Occupational Therapy doctoral student completing my capstone project in collaboration with River Valley Community Death Care (RVCDC) located in West Central Wisconsin.

As part of my capstone, I am conducting a community needs assessment to better understand knowledge, confidence, and experience related to death, dying, end-of-life care, and death doula services. The information gathered will help identify educational needs, strengthen community partnerships, and improve access to end-of-life resources. Your participation will help provide a better understanding of community needs related to end-of-life care, death doula services, and available resources.

We are inviting individuals who may be interested to participate in the Death Doula Services Survey and share their perspectives. The survey takes approximately 5-7 minutes to complete. Participation is
voluntary, and responses are anonymous and confidential. Thank you for considering participating in this community needs assessment and for supporting this work.

Volume One, the free community newspaper in West Central Wisconsin, discusses the work of end of life doulas and RVCDC board members, Dawn Briskey and Deirdre Jenkins, in their March 5, 2026 Death & Dying section. River Valley Commity Death Care and board member Martha Neiman are also mentioned in the article. Volume One prints 14,000 copies every other week, and is distributed to 400 locations.
