About River Valley Community Death Care
River Valley Community Death Care (RVCDC) was founded in 2024 by a small group of friends residing in West Central Wisconsin. The friends wanted to empower neighbors and community members to prepare for death, care for each other, and broaden their understanding of the options available to them at end of life. Our founding members include Deirdre Jenkins (Conscious Dying Facilitator, Death Doula), Carly Gaytan (Funeral Director, End-of-Life Doula), Martha Nieman (Certified Nurse-Midwife, Retired Hospice Nurse, Sacred Dying Coach), and Dawn Briskey (End-of-life Doula, Life Planning Doula, Sacred Dying Guide).
Our Vision
To change the paradigm around end-of-life care by normalizing discussions about death and dying.
Our Mission
To serve as a regional hub for the full spectrum of end-of-life information, education, resources, services, and products in Wisconsin’s River Valley.
