Carly started assisting families through the death process through funeral service in rural Minnesota before moving to the river valley area to continue her work. She is a certified death doula through the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA). She is one of the founding members of River Valley Community Death Care.

Carly strives to change the death paradigm in rural areas. She is committed to providing education with preplanning and prefunding funeral services, teaching future funeral directors/morticians, and connecting with area death doulas to create a more seamless transition from death to remembrance ritual.

When not working, Carly finds solace when hiking, paddleboarding, or getting lost in a good book. She also enjoys collecting art and volunteering at a family grief camp throughout the year.
